The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation works with numerous state commodity organizations, farm groups, and government agencies to develop and maintain our resource guide and to assist in distribution of materials.  Most of these groups produce similar resources and make them available to us to distribute through in-school presentations and teacher convention exhibits. The following sponsors provide resources that are used by the Ag in the Classroom program.

The Wisconsin Soybean Program has donated Soybean Science Kits for teachers to have the opportunity to teach about bio-technology and soybeans in a method that involves science, math, and other areas of study. The kit offers a variety of lesson plans and supplies to make the lesson plans user-friendly to the teachers.

The Wisconsin Agri-Business Council develops the “This Business Called Agriculture” activity book targeted to 4th grade students

The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has developed their own unique dairy nutrition education program that is used by county dairy promotion volunteers and Alice in Dairyland. The WMMB is also a sponsor of the essay contest.

Alice in Dairyland, through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, visits classrooms educating youth about Wisconsin agriculture.

The Wisconsin Association of Vocational Agriculture Instructors (WAVAI) is an important partner by hosting workshops to present resource materials to high school agriculture teachers.  This partnership has been particularly effective since many of our resource materials have been useful for FFA chapters in conducting their Food For America programs with elementary classrooms.

FS GROWMARK, Inc. is a regional supply cooperative that conducts the “Plant a Seed...Grow A Mind” program by donating a portion of the sale of each bag of seed purchased by Wisconsin farmers to the WFB Foundation for the Ag in the Classroom program. In 2005, FS GROWMARK donated over $2,600 for this program.
